The initial training and the relaxed nature of the videos is great. However the listening feature is poor, often it won't hear the notes at all or will take a generic noise as the requested chord which can affect your learning and is very frustrating. The tuning function is inconsistent and will often say a string is out of tune when it definitely isn't. In hindsight I wish I hadn't paid the subscription.

I guess this may be good for basic understanding and rhythm practice but it provides zero help to playing in tune - I don't mean whether your guitar is in tune or not (the tuner is reasonable in a pinch) but the app doesn't know whether you're playing the right notes\chord or not. I can set my guitar down and just tap my phone to trigger the success of hitting the notes in the practice sessions. So I'll assume it's using the g-sensor to pick up vibrations to say 'yeah you strummed a string'.

ETA: Despite referencing it, there isn't a way to slow down songs. There's also no option to see an entire song's notes/chords; relying on the scrolling motion gets very frustrating. Original: The lessons seem good. But whether it picks up notes is a bit hit or miss, even with tuning and doing all the stuff in the FAQ. String 2, fret 1 doesn't register 70% of the time for me, and that impedes the flow of learning because it doesn't give the option to skip ahead.
