Short but good. More of a visual novel. The "gameplay" grew to be a chore. Most of the time, you read books by tapping approaching thought bubbles, but there's no clicker system like the first game. I ended up just wanting to get through with it to get to the parts I actually like. The picture books were nice. The dream art, and writing were captivating. I felt Es's loneliness and boredom. I liked Es already and I grew to love her more. If you liked Alter Ego, Alter Ego Complex is worth playing!

I loved Alter Ego years ago, and finally had gotten my hands on a Play Pass recently that made me have a chance to play this now. But, despite the beautiful visuals, words, scenarios etc..I couldn't quite grasp what's the purpose of all of it. I mean, it only felt like fanservice to the people that had a crush on her. Nevertheless, thank you to the developers at Caramel Column for making a great game !!
